I’ll Update That For You.

Posted on Posted in The Hai, Update

10 days into 2012 and already there is so much to talk about:

1. “Pop Songs” hit 100 downloads in two days! And the DL count is still rising. In addition to that, The Hai is pleased to note that we have heard only good things regarding people’s reactions to the poppiest pop music we spent months crafting in secret! Haha. Thank you so much to everyone who listened, downloaded and passed the information on to their friends. Please do continue doing what you’re doing — put “Pop Songs” on your iPods, burn copies of it to play in your cars, get your local coffee shop to blast it on their speakers, or maybe just let your Gram listen to it the next time she comes over for a family dinner. In any case, thanks again. Did we not tell you that it would be really ace? You all have just proven us right.

2. We will start posting original content on this website very soon. Other than our music releases, that is. We are starting with artist profiles — just the bare bones, basic information about your favorite The Hai musicians. What is Hifi Banjo Strings working on this year? Who has Snailhead collaborated with? What DAW does StratosFear use? Is A Problem Like Maria ever going to release a solo EP/LP? These details and more in the coming weeks.

3. There is a new section listing our musicians’ individual EP/LP releases. Self explanatory, really. We are still working on completing the list, but check back from time to time as we will be constantly updating this throughout January.

4. Speaking of individual EP/LP releases… Our musicians are busy making sweet, sweet music for your ears! Just this first quarter of 2012 The Hai is looking at close to half a dozen releases, which will all be promoted here — ensuring that you get to hear it first. First up are two split collabs: Water Gun Water Gun Sky Attack Solves A Problem Like Maria’s “Recompose: Remixed Songs from Decompose” coming out on January 20, and New Motive Power and Flying Batteries’ “Snescore” coming out on January 28. Oh yeah.

That’s all, folks. Stay tuned and keep yourself updated. And thanks again for listening!
