inb4track’s Carpeaux reviews the Flying Batteries’ “Adam Vs The Machines.”

Posted on March 5, 2012 The HaiPosted in Adam Vs The Machines, Flying Batteries, Review

Synth Rock mostly, with a post-punk feel – specially from the tone and style of the vocals. Most of this stuff just screams 80′s influence, not only from post-punk, like the sort of innocence in the use of synths to make up pretty danceable tracks, probably a footprint of the “snescore” they used to categorize […]

ERROROSION reviews New Motive Power’s “Copper & Zinc” EP.

Posted on March 5, 2012 The HaiPosted in Copper & Zinc EP, New Motive Power, Review

New Motive Power from Brazil play a form of electronic rock they call “SNEScore.” The album is full of huge, catchy, bombastic synths and the stellar production leaves plenty of room for them to explode from your speakers. Despite being quite pop-flavored, they stray a bit from typical song structures and keep things very interesting. […]

Posted on February 20, 2012 The HaiPosted in A Problem Like Maria, Decompose, Review, Water Gun Water Gun Sky Attack

Zombie theme or not, it is an effort worth listening to not only because we’re suckers for collaborative efforts that span continents, but also because tracks such as “Standstill” and the title track properly showcase both artists’ musical capabilities.  A step in the right direction for electronic music fans who dug Portishead’s Third album, Homogenic and Vespertine-era Bjork and even Drip, though slightly […]

Polar Sunspots’ Arran reviews Snailhead’s “The Image.”

Posted on February 19, 2012 The HaiPosted in Review, Snailhead, The Hai, The Image

Snailhead puts forward synthpop alongside almost anthemic rock and also utilises a range of other artists in this album. The most surprising of these is the final rap track. A little too short unfortunately, but still a worthy download. Read the entire review here.
